Whether you’re after a small wedding venue to suit your micro wedding or something a little larger for up to 60 of your nearest and dearest, we’ve gathered together a handful of Yorkshire’s best small wedding venues for you to fall in love with.
We’ve had the privilege of photographing at each of these venues within the last couple of years and were impressed by the way they tailored their venue to perfectly suit the size of the wedding without compromising on character and atmosphere.
Side note – Some of these wedding venues cater for large groups and smaller groups. We’ve included them because we’ve seen the way they host smaller wedding celebrations and they do them well!

Yorebridge House, Leyburn, Yorkshire Dales
Yorebridge House is a Victorian grade II listed building set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales against a stunning backdrop of dramatic hillsides and rivers. This 5 Star, 3 AA Rosette, was once voted the most romantic hotel in the UK! The boutique hotel promises luxury, beautiful interiors and fine dining. ‘The Orangery’ showcases panoramic views of the Dale and is perfect for up to 90 guests seated. The Masters Room overlooks the lawn and is an elegant setting ideal for intimate ceremonies of up to 25 guests. The venue is close to 5 picturesque village churches, giving the option of a church ceremony followed by a reception at Yorebridge House.

The Sun Pavilion, Harrogate
Nestled in the heart of the Grade II listed Valley Gardens in Harrogate, the Sun Pavilion is the ideal setting for a wedding. This venue offers two beautiful ceremony spots, one outside on the terrace, which provides a stunning summer wedding location and the other indoors under the impressive stained-glass dome.





Telfit Farm, Swaledale, Yorkshire Dales
Telfit Farm is a stunningly renovated Georgian farmhouse situated in-amongst the beautiful rolling hills of Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Just 5 miles from the historic market towns of Richmond and Reeth, Telfit farm has oodles of additional accommodation nearby, whilst also offering on-site accommodation for up to 20 wedding guests. This wedding venue is perfect for small to medium sized weddings. The dining hall on the grounds has a maximum capacity of 50 and the licensed ceremony room has a seated capacity of 30 or a standing capacity of 50.
You would be hard pressed to find a venue with countryside views that compete with Telfit Farm.






Bowcliffe Hall, Wetherby, North Yorkshire
Bowcliffe Hall is situated just off the A1(M), four miles south of Wetherby. From the outside Bowcliffe Hall appears to be your typical stately country house, however once inside, the venue offers a selection of themed spaces. The impressive ballroom, the intimate private members Drivers’ Club and the versatile (award winning) Blackburn Wing are all worth mentioning. The exclusive Drivers’ Club can accommodate up to 35 seated guests for an intimate wedding breakfast. The decor is inspired by the glamorous 1920s and the Golden Age of Motoring with original motoring art and artefacts from around the world.

La Rosa, Whitby, North Yorkshire
La Rosa Hotel is a destination for those seeking a little romance, escapism and fantasy. The hotel is situated in an elegant period townhouse on Whitby’s West Cliff, overlooking the picturesque harbour and the ruins of Whitby Abbey. The hotel has 9 unique rooms, each designed with Whitby’s rich heritage as inspiration. Transport yourself back to when Bram Stoker first discovered Dracula or experience their homage to life on the road. The hotel’s dining room, full of curiosities and artefacts, can be arranged to host a micro wedding ceremony. Then there’s the option for take away fish and chips or afternoon tea at La Rosa Hotel to follow.

East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley, West Yorkshire
Located in picturesque West Yorkshire, East Riddlesden Hall and its romantic gardens are steeped in history and are lovingly cared for by the National Trust. The rustic converted Airedale wedding barn can be tailored to match a large or small wedding party. It boasts wooden beams, stone walls and an impressive fairy light wall. The 400 year old Great Hall also provides the perfect atmosphere for more intimate ceremonies seating up to 30 guests. On a fair weather day, the surrounding gardens provide the perfect setting for your drinks reception.






The Fig House, Middleton Lodge, North Yorkshire
The 18th century Georgian country estate that is Middleton Lodge offers two separate wedding venues within its grounds. The 18th century main house in all its grandeur or the newly renovated Fig House surrounded by the walled gardens. You can host your ceremony in the drawing room, the circular hallway, outdoors or in the boiler house bar. Afternoons can be enjoyed in the library or within the walled gardens and parties in the cellar bar can continue into the early hours. Middleton Lodge has a whole host of options for the smallest micro weddings right through to the large wedding celebrations.
