Keshia & Matthew’s early autumn wedding at the Foxtail Barns
“Thank you so much for sending our pictures across, they are absolutely stunning. We both can’t thank you enough for capturing our big day. The photos are more than we could have imagined, it brings us so much joy looking at them! We’re not sure how you managed to get such good shots and the editing is out of this world. Thank you again!!!”
Last September, Keeshia and Matthew invited us to do the wedding photography for their Foxtail Barns autumnal wedding. We knew from our first Zoom call with the pair that this wedding day was going to be one to remember and WOW, was it!!
Fruit for table decorations!
Before we get into the story of this wedding, we feel the need to dedicate a full paragraph to the fruit table decorations. We know you’re thinking ‘fruit, how does that work?’ because that’s what we thought at first too, but oh my, Keeshia & Matthew you are wedding decor inspirations!
Listen up everyone, you NEED to chop grapefruits and limes and use them as wedding table decorations because it looks incredible! Mix in some wild flowers with pops of colour and you have yourself a one way ticket to the top of the ‘wedding goals’ hashtag. In fact, Lee and I are now considering re-doing our own wedding just so that we can copy Keeshia & Matthews wedding decor style.
The I do’s
Nestled within the bridal suite inside Foxtail Barns, Keeshia and her girls enjoyed a lively morning of hair and makeup preparations. Meanwhile Matthew and his Groomsmen got ready in a few of the nearby shepherd huts, positioned perfectly to greet their guests as they arrived.
After an emotional big reveal of Keeshia in her wedding dress to her parents and bridal party, it was time to meet her Groom at the front of the aisle. The room fell silent and the music started up. Matthew held back tears as his bride was walked down the aisle by her Father. The ceremony that followed was beautiful. The early autumn sun warmed the glass roofed overhang, whilst heartfelt vows and ring exchanges happened beneath. As the pair sealed the deal the room erupted with happiness and cheers.
Keeshia and Matthews’ wedding afternoon was spent in the grounds of Foxtail Barns enjoying drinks and canapés with their guests. They celebrated with a lively confetti walkway and enjoyed a short session of family photographs.
Wedding wings
It would be insane for us to pass this part of their day without mentioning Keeshia’s wedding dress. Just wait until you see it. Keeshia looked out of this world in it and the dress itself was absolutely stunning! Beaded, open back and floor length wedding wings. Warning, once you see it, you will want it!
To dance or to photograph?
Back inside Foxtail wedding barn for the late afternoon celebrations, the guests got to enjoy the full impact of those top notch wedding decorations that we mentioned previously. They were treated to a hilarious set of speeches, followed by a slap up wedding meal and just check out their wedding cake!
The pair’s evening was led by Cosmic Events DJ who raised the roof with 90s and 00s R&B and dance tunes. There were parts where Lee and I found it difficult to decide between dancing and photographing.
Thank you for having us
Keeshia and Matthew, thank you for inviting us to be a part of your special day. We were blown away by your attention to detail with all your wedding decorations. We had an absolute blast at your wedding and will continue to tell anyone who will listen about it!
