As wedding photographers it is inevitable that travel is going to be part and parcel of the job. Although we love travelling to weddings both in the UK and abroad we realise that this creates a carbon footprint. In a quest to offset this and become as eco friendly as possible we have teamed up with Trees for Life in their mission to re-wild the Scottish Highlands. With every wedding photography booking we take, we now plant a tree on your behalf!

Although we love going to all of our couples weddings both in the UK and abroad we realise that this creates a carbon footprint. In a quest to offset this and become as eco friendly as possible we have teamed up with Trees for Life in their mission to re-wild the Scottish Highlands. With every wedding photography booking we take, we now plant a tree on your behalf!

Wee Wedding Grove
The trees will be planted alongside other native trees and in time, will help to restore the Caledonian Forest and along with it, the wildlife there such as the red squirrel, black grouse, capercaille, pine marten and the golden eagle. We spend much of our free time hiking and exploring the wild open spaces that Scotland and the UK has to offer, so this is an exciting way for us to give back to the environment that we so thoroughly enjoy and help improve our carbon offset.
In early 2021 we were able to establish our very own grove! A space for all the trees that we plant to grow and flourish together. Our grove is called the Wee Wedding Grove and you can visit all the trees within our grove here.

Other steps we have taken to become eco friendly wedding photographers
In our mission to become eco friendly wedding photographers, we are doing everything we can to be as eco friendly as possible. We are unfortunately unable to cut back on vehicle emissions when travelling to weddings, but we have taken steps in other areas of our business.
- We have a full paperless set up. Couples are encouraged to complete our digital booking forms and converse with us via video calls, emails and phone calls.
- Our USB’s are made from wood and are purchased from a UK company. A full description of our products can be found on our Post Wedding page.
- Any extra cardboard/paper goodies that we include within our package are locally made/sourced from sustainable resources and are fully recyclable.
- Recycled paper protects the goods during delivery and are purchased from a local packaging company who have great eco credentials.
- Wherever possible we bulk buy to minimise pollution through transit.
- We have a home based office which lowers our daily travel emissions.
- We use rechargeable batteries in all our photography equipment.
